Biosamples Access Policy<\/a>.<\/h5>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2507 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticpath.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/access-process1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"618\" height=\"77\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step 1: Initial consultation<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We encourage interested researchers to contact us.<\/li>\n<li>Use the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticpath.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Preliminary-Data-and-Biosample-Access-Application-Form.docx\">Preliminary Data and Biosamples Application Form<\/a>\u00a0and be specific, as the quality of your application will determine the accuracy and timeliness of our assessment.<\/li>\n<li>Email the completed form to <a href=\"mailto:Ellen.Sweeney@dal.ca?subject=Preliminary-Data-Biological-Samples-Access\">Ellen Sweeney<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Once we\u2019ve reviewed the application, we will confirm the feasibility and provide a cost-recovery estimate or request more information.\u00a0 Confirmation of feasibility is not a guarantee of data access as final decisions on data access are made by the Atlantic PATH Access Committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step 2: Application Process<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>After receiving Research Ethics Board (REB) approval and funding (if applicable), you\u00a0<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">must<\/span><\/strong> submit a\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticpath.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Atlantic-PATH-Data-and-Biosample-Access-Application-Form-2021.docx\">Data and Biosamples Access Application Form<\/a>\u00a0with supporting documents (i.e proposal, complete REB submission, CV, etc) by email to <a href=\"mailto:Ellen.Sweeney@dal.ca?subject=Full Data and Biological Samples Access Application\">Ellen Sweeney<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The Access Committee will review the application and notify you of their decision<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Step 3: Approval &amp; Agreements<\/em><\/strong><strong>: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Approved Researcher and a representative from their associated academic institution must sign a Data Access Agreement with Dalhousie University;<\/li>\n<li>Terms of payment for the cost-recovery invoice must be agreed upon with initial payment received; The harmonized data for participants from across Canada is available through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/canpath.ca\/\">CanPath<\/a>.
