Canadian and international researchers conducting studies relevant to the Atlantic PATH cohort are welcome to apply.
🔬 Your research must align with the study’s public health and chronic disease focus.
Applicants must be affiliated with a recognized public or private institution engaged in scientific research.
🎓 Academic, governmental, or healthcare research organizations are eligible.
The institution listed in your application must be the host organization of the Principal Investigator.
✅ This is known as the Approved Institution and is responsible for compliance and oversight.
Once your application is reviewed and approved by the Atlantic PATH Research Access Committee, you become an Approved Researcher.
📄 This designation grants access to the requested data and/or biosamples.

Complete and submit the official data access request form. Our Research Director will work with you to ensure feasibility.

Your application will be reviewed by the Research Access Committee. You may be asked to sign a data sharing agreement.
Upon approval, data will be provided via our secure online portal.
From submission to delivery, here’s how long each step typically takes.
Your application is reviewed for eligibility, completeness, and alignment with Atlantic PATH’s research objectives.
Timeframe: 4–6 weeks
Upon approval, requested data and/or biosamples are curated and prepared for secure delivery.
Timeframe: 8–10 weeks
Description: Receive your data securely via encrypted transfer or access portal.
Timeframe: 1–2 weeks after preparation
